Pawsofmind exists to bring lost pets home. That work needs some personal information, and this page explains — in plain words — what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.
What we collect
When you use Pawsofmind, we may collect:
- Your name and mobile number
- Your email address, if you choose to share it
- Your pet’s details and photos
- Last-seen and sighting locations you report
- Details shared by recovery partners and community helpers who join the network
Why we collect it
We use this information to:
- Verify your mobile number with a one-time code
- Create case pages and pet passports
- Coordinate the recovery of missing pets
- Contact you about cases relevant to you, or about your network membership
What we never do
Phone numbers are never displayed publicly. Owner and finder numbers are relayed through Pawsofmind — they are never published on any card, case page, or public profile, even with consent.
We do not sell personal data.
Photos and public pages
Pet photos and non-personal pet details appear on the public case pages and passport pages you choose to create. These pages exist so that the people who might spot your pet can recognise them — they never show your name or number.
Storage and security
Your data is stored on our database infrastructure with access controls in place. Access is limited to the Pawsofmind team.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to care@pawsofmind.in.
We handle personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

This policy applies to the Bengaluru pilot. It may be updated as the service grows; the “last updated” date at the top of this page will always show the current version.
